Today was so close to home.
3 years with the weirdest bunch
Honestly I have such mixed feelings with the CMT block I’ve been with for 3 years of my college life. Ever since it start with that June 3 meet up in UST, everyone wearing purple except for the one person who wore orange, but claimed to be wearing a purple upper undergarment. Then I thought I was able to settle in that group of people, that I’d found where I belong.
Little did I know that that eventually would change. Through the ups and downs of everything, I found myself being unanimously being integrated into a close friend’s group, BnG, where it was awkward to be surrounded by predominantly highly talented and highly intelligent girls, yet be comforted as they didn’t get weirded out by my presence.
Months pass and the block was eventually divided into three major cliques. The “Bramananacs”, the biggest group, was the group that somehow stuck together really tightly through their differences, and the group that placed a huge foundation of our block. “Those Guys”, the group of ‘those guys’ who didn’t have the hipster preferences, yet their uniqueness and quirks made them special (hehe I’m an honorary member). And finally BnG, the group with the weirdest name, predominantly girls (and two guys), comprising around 1/4 of the girl population of the block, the silent but deadly group. The G people were disseminated into the Bramananacs or stuck together as their group.
A lot of you guys probably know me being one of the most FC sa block, feeling close with everyone from every group, Bramananacs, Those Guys, G peeps, Carmina/Giennive, Dan/Prince, even in BnG. Honestly I know some of you guys don’t like me at all, yet I’m always amazed at how people are still able to withstand my constant nagging and not want to kill me everyday. For that, I am thankful.
I just want to let you guys know that I love all of you guys. I love how you stuck up with me even though I’m obnoxiously irritating. I love how you guys come together if it mean bringing up the block, how everyone overlooks the negative sides of others to pursue a greater good. I love that this block, though riddled with drama and dilemma, has stuck to the very end, coming together for one last push with the pinning and white coat ceremony.
As we all become interns in different hospitals, never forget that we, though divided, are all one in 3C. That we initially are the, and forever will be, the greatest block in all of UST Medical Technology.
47 things I learned from 47 different people
You have been among the smartest and most remarkable people I’ve met, each in your own different way. Thank you for teaching me these things, most of which you are probably unaware that you’ve taught.
Here's to you weirdos and the 3 years we spent together
I write this sat on the edge of my bed on a hot Saturday afternoon, with an overflowing mind and a heavy heart. 10 days. We’ve only got 10 days, you guys. My brain is fried from all the studying and exams that we’ve been having but all I can think of right now is ano ng mangyayari after this sem?
