The Star Lounge: the structure from 2,073 hexagonal blocks What happened: Emerging Objects, the massive 3D structure specialist teamed up with Bold Machines: The Innovation Workshop at Stratasys to build one of the largest PLA based 3D printed structures. The Star Lounge: This is a 8.5 feet tall dome structure with a footprint that measures approximately 11 feet by 11 feet. All of 2,073 hexagonal blocks are printed by over 100 small desktop 3D printers. The team have to push through the material supply load limitation
