LG: New phone and tablet plus 3D!
MWC really does bring some big releases and LG made no exception today. New phones and a new tablet announced with 3D camera's and screens.
Are we ready for 3D on mobile devices?
The Optimus 3D from LG will carry the following specifications:
4.3inch WVGA glasses free 3D screen
Dual 5MP rear cameras for 3D images and 3D 720p video
Android 2.2 (upgradeable to 2.3)
The device will feature applications to give users access to 3D gaming, gallery, camera, and Youtube (www.youtube.com/3d).
This is a huge development in phones, we havent even gotten on top of dual-core phones and now we are seeing 3D features!
MWC is all about world firsts, LG is showing this as the worlds first dual channel, dual core and dual memory phone... and 3D!!!
LG has revealed their fighter in the tablet war with a uniquely sized 8.9inch tablet.
The main specifications revealed are:
3D recording on the rear camera
1280x768 screen resolution
HDMI (allows the filmed 3D video to be played on a 3D TV)
1080p decoding (no scaling down, even when connected via HDMI)
These specifications are pretty impressive. So, what's unique about the LG tablet? 8.9 inch screen, they have gone in the middle of the 7inch and 10inch tablets AND 3D video, photo and viewing (without glasses) on the tablet.
