Vintage Lamp from Spencer's Gifts
The Roth Ro-Tar: "Built in Maywood, California in the famous Roth Studio's by Ed Roth. The chassis and body are hand built. The engines were specially built by Bell Auto Parts of Los Angeles. They run on Methonal and at 5000 RPM will raise the car 2 inches, and at 10,000 RPM will raise the car 6 inches. The total weight is just over 750 pounds. The glass bubble was custom made by Acry Plastics of Los Angeles. Ro-tar was painted by Watson of Artesia, California. There is a remote possibility that this will be the first car to reach the Moon." (Ebay)

The image features the iconic custom show car the "Mysterion," built in the early 1960s by artist and custom car builder Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.
The Mysterion was famous for its radical design, including a bubble top and dual Ford big-block engines.
It appeared in numerous magazines and was also released as a popular scale model kit by Revell.
The original car was eventually parted out by Roth and no longer exists.
Due to its fame and disappearance, several highly accurate recreations have been built by fans and expert

I never found one I was satisfied with, and remembered "wait a minute, I'm an artist!" I'm a sick twisted evil Jetpack cat Support Main.
