More modded skyrim followers in plastic form:
First today is Remiel, self-described dwemechanic, more engrossed in a book than her surroundings as usual. I wanna make Scrap too but he's gonna be a good bit more complicated as a kitbash so that will come later.
Next: Hoth, a gruff and casually racist Nord mercenary. Every time I tried putting him together (and several times while painting him) I was reminded of a new small detail in his design that I missed, but ultimately decided to go for Close Enough rather than die trying to get him one to one.
Lastly is Erevan, from the mod Interesting NPCs. Yes I will be doing a lot of the follower NPCs from that, mostly because they're either pretty simple in their designs or ripe for interpretation. Speaking of which, Erevan's original outfit didn't really sell me on him being a knight exiled from Cyrodiil, so rather than try to find a proxy for Nordic steel plate I just stuck him in proper knightly armor and painted his shield with what I imagine the crest of the Knights of the Rose might be.

Larkspur
From Interesting NPCs.
if i had the ability to do one thing in regards to skyrim modding right now it would be to re-balance ALL of the bard songs in Interesting NPCs to at LEAST half of their current volume, or probably even one third.
because they are "dialogue" they use the "voice" slider and are excruciatingly loud :(
i looked into the dialogues and the BSAs, but unfortunately they're not labeled in any intuitive way and, of course, they're all FUZ files, with which I have no experience x.x
i was really hoping i could just edit the static attenuation of individual lines like i've done for other sfx that seem too loud to me, but it doesn't seem to work that way for dialogue? :/
i was prepared to like, convert wxm files and edit them as mp3s and then convert back as loose files, but alas.
i thought there might be something to edit in the ai packages or the bard scenes themselves, but nothing jumped out at me.
it's to the point that i don't want to go anywhere one of those bards happens to be because they're a distracting, overpowering mess T-T
if anyone has any suggestions i'm all ears :/
The Skyrim follower mod cinematic universe is seriously so wild. I wouldn't be playing this game a decade on without them. All these complex characters with so much personality and thousands of voiced lines! Commentary on quests! Their own personal quests! Meaningful relationships with the player character and each other! We're blessed.
(At this point it's also kinda like when you buy a doll for a kid and the package says the one you got is actually best friends with this other doll so you have to go buy that one now too LMAO)
