Weddings have always been a custom affair. Dresses, flowers, table top covers, cakes, and what not- the way people go about planning and buying the whole thing has changed notably with time. Only sometime back couples were limited to what they saw in bridal magazines or would go by the suggestions of their event planner.
With 3D printing taking us by surprise in almost any industry that can be thought of, the wedding brigade is abuzz with the magic this technology can create.
Guests at Aastha and Pranav’s wedding had a totally different experience with their invitations. That customization could make tradition such a unique affair was unexpected! The invite included an element which beautifully represented a concoction of love and excitement, a heart that captured the bride and groom’s resonation with one another.
The conventional way of doing it would have required wax to be melted to capture the fingerprints of bride and groom. Upon cooling the pattern would have to be cut, in turn making the whole design lose accuracy, and meaning.
That’s where we had Imaginarium’s expertise step up.
Fingerprints were taken on a paper and used as an input for 2D image. A print compatible, 3D model was made from the image using CAD, and later sent for printing. Output was an exquisite piece, embedded into a wax seal used as a mark of love in the invitations.
The use of technology bestowed the design a great degree of precision and detailing, making it an overwhelming affair altogether.
Imaginarium has had the experience of digitally crafting accessories. Learn about how we helped create this extraordinary gift to capture that special moment for newlyweds.
