so I’m pretty sure my microSD is corrupted because even though I can still access the other games stored on it, I can no longer actually save over my saves (the information does not actually stay. it says it saves, but if I close out of the game and come back, it acts as though I haven’t played since last time) and I can’t access New Leaf at all.
I tried to copy the files onto my computer so I could put them on a different microSD card and see if that would work, but the files won’t even copy. I get an “error code 36″ (I use a mac), but the solution that is supposed to fix that issue isn’t working for me. this leads me to believe that the actual problem is that the files can’t be read/copied because they are corrupted.
I ordered a new copy of New Leaf and the amiibo cards for my villagers using birthday money yesterday, so if nothing else I can just start again from the ground up, as unfortunate as this is. It sucks losing all my progress and some of the stuff I had were gifts that I can’t get back (because I received them from someone who hacks), plus my sister’s villagers were living in my town while she cycled people out.
But I’m trying to see this as an opportunity to make my town even better than it was before. I’m going to make use of the update to put people in places I want, and I’m going to give everything space for landscaping. The game and amiibo cards should be getting here around the 8th. Wish me luck!
(I still need to figure out how I’m going to get pictures since I’m not sure if I’ll be able to use my SD card anymore...I’ll try to figure out what everyone else does to make their pictures look so nice while I’m at it!)
