* listening to Glennon Doyle Melton read Love Warrior. * seeing the beauty of giving myself time to process and think about how to approach a problem in my life and not rushing to "fix" it like I normally do. Had an aha as part of that process today. * Realizing this shift in focus career wise is an opportunity to reinvent myself. Maybe I'll even take a coding class this year as part of this transformation, who knows?

Three moments of joy: Finding humor in the absurdity of the state of our nation right now with an uncle suggesting his wife go back to Iran to visit her family (knowing they wouldn't let her back in even though she's a citizen). A beautiful and much needed hike in 60-degree, sunshine weather with Jane and Luke at Lands End. Taco time.

* those moments when I forget our president is a POS and caused more damage in this week than we ever thought possible in this lifetime * if a copycat is the biggest form of flattery, then I know my husband appreciates and notices me when he does the work I normally do for no good reason. It was truly a gift * when I get to pack my bag at the end of a busy day and realize I don't have to return to that cube until Monday

1. One of the best yoga classes I’ve had in years. That moment when I wish the class would never end and we could just do yoga all day.
2. Not screwing up dinner, and getting the timing and temperatures done well.
3. Having enough time to do laundry, cook, clean, read, journal, a few phone calls, watch a show, and do an eye mask.

1.) taking a lunchtime break for a 3 mile walk. On that walk, I saw a nanny at the playground with 2 babies - maybe 1 year old, not even. One of the kids was in those baby swings (with extra reinforcement), hunched over the swing, just over it. Not crying, not swinging, just stuck in that seat. I wanted to take a pic (but thought that's rude/creep) bc I could relate in that moment - he looked like I felt. I found a pic online that I'll post that's close to the kid, but he was more hunched over; similar look on his face though 2.) when my husband reads to me from his cookbook 3.) a nearly empty parking lot at Target
