i still can’t get enough of it.
oh don’t worry about the message. i just wanna come up with something that ended up saying ‘bye’.
i hate the drawing itself though even if i like doing the animation so pls don’t give it too much attention. i beg ya.

My first full body animation!
..... well sorta. I wanted to see if I could do a walk cycle since I already did blinking and mouth movement. I couldn't do a full detailed character because I haven't even had my first animation class yet. I've just been practicing FOR the class.
I do see some problems with it, like the head keeps getting bigger and the arms sway in a weird way. But I think it's good for my 3rd animation.
Animatic #3
Storyboard #3
Final Animation #3
Again, in this animation I recorded my own voice over and certain sound effects and I am very pleased with how well I timed it, it came out perfectly! The sound is also too quiet for my liking but not as bad, every decision I made with the sound is very similar to what I talked about in my previous post, just edited to suit this animation instead.
Final Animation #3 (without sound design)
This is my third animation and my first try at it. This will be my final take for this animation because I was really pleased with how it turned out, I don’t think I can do much better and I also don’t have enough time in the studio to re-shoot. I added a the thumb rubbing movement, which wasn’t in my storyboard, to extend the time in order for it to be long enough for my voice over and I also think it further showed how Sweetie was comforting the other doll. The doll in Sweetie’s arms turns out to be another creature like them, in my mind this could be the Sweetie of the child’s younger sibling who has also been subjected to abuse. I think it is also a nice touch because it is a surprise to the viewer, who is literally lulled into a false security.
The animation itself is surprisingly smooth, as I have often struggled to do this when my puppet is moving slowly, this is an achievement for me. This time I positioned my puppet fully in the light to represent his good nature, the ability to comfort and love. However, they still have a strong shadow, the darkness is still very much there and following their every move. I would see this happening after animation #2 because they has put aside their anger and sadness in order to comfort someone important to them that has just experienced the same hardship.
I don’t think there is much I would improve in this sequence, I think that he rises and blinks a little fast in the beginning before rocking the doll and the doll in his arms moves a little too much when Sweetie leans down because I didn’t secure the doll in the puppet’s arms properly. So, if I was to re film this I would make sure the doll was firmly in my puppets grip and slow that beginning down.
Video Reference for Animation #3
For my 3rd Animation with my puppet Sweetie, I would like to record myself humming a tune while Sweetie rocks another smaller doll in its arms. It was a song I recorded for my Music GCSE and I thought it was quite eerie so fits into the creepy atmosphere of the animation well adds to the creepy atmosphere of the animation. This is a quick recording I did to see how long the humming might last, I am aiming for my animation to be about 10 seconds long so I may cut this when I record it in the sound studio at uni. The only slot in the studio that I could get to record my voice is before I film the animation, so I’m just going to have to time my animation to the audio and hope for the best.
