This week, I will get better. Better at putting my phone down and not picking it up when your name flashes across the screen. Better at not thinking where you are or what you are doing, because let’s face it, you don’t think of me. Better at making recovery playlists instead of cloudy ones. Better at forgetting you, because you are probably forgetting me too. And finally, better at being myself. Because no matter how much I tried to be the best me in front of you, I’d always strip a new mask on. So there it goes, the better I am, the better I hope you will be and this distance will hopefully bring us back together as two separate beings.
