Key takeaways from Foolish's lore stream today (4/26):

This just happened, so spoilers beneath the cut!

Respawning after a canon death is visibly traumatic.

According to the egg, they have met before but foolish forgot.

He's tried using overwhelming force in the past to enforce his will on the world around him, and it failed and brought him nothing but grief. He's changed since then because he knows brute force isn't the best way to do things.

He builds for a sense of control and creation.

The egg knows about his deal with ranboo re: the shulker box.

Foolish burned himself in blue fire to dispell the egg, but it didn't work. (It may have been a canon death!) This might have implications for the efficacy of blue fire against the vines.

The egg is tempting him with the offer of power that he can use to enforce peace, which is ultimately what he wants.

The prime water does actually work to dispell the egg's influence.

Foolish is Terrified of the egg, to the point of tears. (God-tier acting btw!) He is in denial of the fact he can die at all, but he can't deny that he saw a void in the moments after the swordstroke.

He is afraid that all the other guests died, and he feels guilty for not being strong enough to save them. He specifically expressed concern for Puffy and Eret, unsurprisingly.

There's something secret in Foolish's basement, and the egg knows what it is.

After re-equipping a fresh set of netherite armor and tools, he decided that he only failed because he underestimated the egg this time He concluded that his temple was still safe, and resolved not to let it happen again.
