Would you guys like to hear a story about how deliberately slowing down (while running) literally kept me from dying this morning? Great! Because this morning I was running and feeling kind of blah, and I noticed that I was ahead of the little old lady I'm usually behind (no comment), so I slowed down a smidge... And then as I'm approaching an intersection thinking "Should I speed up to make the walk signal?" it turned out the answer was a definitive NO, as a car slammed into the 2 cars stopped at the light (coming toward me) and up onto the sidewalk into the rail. IT LOOKED LIKE everyone involved was ok, and fortunately I represent the divide between medium-fast people and relaxed-slow people so the closest runner in front of me was well past. But. This kind of thing is why it's best not to push too hard on everyday runs, because then you're fifteen yards ahead and in the place where the car is.
So yeah I went for a nice ride to the town shops for some water and was a sweaty horrible sight when my boy and half his family drive by. Life sucks
i saw this thing on tumblr where it said that going on runs can make you a happier person so today i decided to go on my first run and i actually really enjoyed it
congrats to me
Took my nice long run this morning.
I kept up my pace for a lot of it and went a little farther too :) definitely saw my hard work from the sweat on my clothes haha. Good way to start my Saturday!
