I have definitely dropped the ball in all my units. I received a mid-term result this week which has left me very moody and depressed. I have finals in a few weeks, and I'm not feeling very confident. I am usually a D/HD student, so I think my ego will be taking a hit.
I'm feeling positive. I did a guided run called "breaking through barriers" (hard recommend). I actually did it a few days ago, but I needed to let it sit with me for a bit. I think I needed the reminder that failure is okay, and that barriers mean that you are moving forward. I keep expecting someone to sit me down and say "hey, maybe you just aren't cut out for this". It's a silly thought. I wouldn't listen regardless. I just have to keep getting on the starting lines in front of me.
I've continued to show up each day and week and month and year despite the barriers I've faced. It is an incredible privilege that the barriers I'm facing now are in the form of a law exam or maths assignment. I am so blessed to be able to sulk over a 72% in a Property Law exam. I am so blessed to have so many incredible women around me who have supported me on my journey here. I never thought I would, or even could, see the day.
