Minna, I hope this day finds you well. I have an announcement to make. The 48-rp directory has had a long run, through good times and the bad. There's a lot of memories here... Happiness, sadness, regret...and bonds of friendship..

This season

Puts the happiness and sadness in the past

And we start walking

A new road

  A new road indeed...but why, you might wonder?  There's no single reason.  It's many reasons combined. A series of unfortunate events...

I see my friends’ faces

As they waved lightly

I pray that I’ll never forget

This precious time...

Events like apathy, unresolved and dragged out feuds, a lack of care, and blurring of important lines.  Was it any one person's fault?  No.  It built up over time.  It saddens me to see this happen.  So many of us lost the way...lost our way, lost sight of what was truly important.

When I look up at the sky

Its vastness

Showed me how endlessly long

This road is

Life is a long road.  What seems like forever is only a few months to a year or two.  But, we have one life to live...and we should make the best of it.  And the vastness of it seems to outweigh the small stuff..

Whether it’s a sunny day or a rainy one

Tomorrow will come

So I’ll smile

As I take a step

Nothing will start, if you don't move.  Perhaps, if those of you who need to, can find it in your heart to ask yourself, "Is this really worth it?" and then if someone you don't like comes to you, at least hear them out.  Let the hate go.  and rise above it.  But, the choice is up to each of you.  Don't want to listen to me? Go right ahead.  I can only point you in the right direction but I can't make you *do* the sensible thing.

This day, August 2nd, marks the end of an era.  A bookmark...closing the final chapter of this place on a high note. I took over as admin, but I did not promise you all big things.  In fact, I knew, even before I accepted the job, that it was a lost cause.  

  But I didn't give up.  I valued my friends, Kumi, Mayu, Milky...I valued what they had done.  Over the course of two weeks, there were no major outbreaks of drama within the directory.  We received several new applications.  

  To these new applicants, I apologize for turning you out of your home so quickly...it is no way, shape, or form your fault.  At least you cared.  Those who did not care, those who were inactive, showed no interest, ran away,  couldn't resolve their issues, went on a rampage and contributed to making us all look bad, or anything else to do with drama ..Look in their direction, if you really feel the need to blame something, or someone..  I, however, will not blame anyone.  For what happened, has happened.  And that is enough, however sad it may be.

My youth was a dazzling sun

That shone so bright through the trees

The cherry blossoms are a bookmark of that day

Nobody will forget

The dreams that were in full bloom

  From those of us who were loyal to the end, our imaginations and dreams binding us together, we thank you for founding this directory, Rena, and Acchan...and thank you for being the driving force behind a lot of it, Milky.  And, in the end, your creation was lifted out of the darkness, to give it a proper resting place.  It ended on a high note for us loyal few.  Your hopes and dreams, were not completely destroyed.  

To those who did care about the directory...Thank you.  For those who have supported us, Arigato.

Face forward...and have no regrets.  We'll still be independent...we'll still talk to each other, the bonds of friendship that *did* survive shall continue.

But now:  It is finished.  Sayonara.
