eggsy donates his old ( obviously still wearable ) clothes to charity ----- but his old hoodies specifically go to a charity dedicated towards helping Muslim women .
I think Peter strives towards being more spiritual and less materialistic , but his efforts are hindered sometimes where sentiment comes into play . like he’s very sentimental towards certain objects , that hold the memories of people , or accomplishments , or definitions of things he’s never truly had . and perhaps that’s where his attachments come from . examples being :
the most obvious one , his walkman + mixtapes . he’s had them for years , they’ve even been enhanced slightly to last longer than the average walkman , especially as conditions out in space seem to have a faster degrading effect on his music . at some point the mixtapes + walkman will stop working , and at some point Peter will let them , because there’s a certain aspect of symbolism behind allowing something to pass naturally out of your grasp . he’s not at that level yet , though , because both the objects and the music remind him so strongly of his mother .
the Milano . he learnt how to fly the ship when he was 11 years old , and developed a certain fondness towards it . it was almost as if the spacecraft and Peter had a spiritual connection , somehow --- where confidence soared behind the controls of the Milano , and it seemed to become a part of him so seamlessly . but most importantly , he’s super attached to the ship because it’s the closest thing he has to a home . it’s like his house , his personal abode , when he’s drifting through the universe . it’s familiar , welcoming , advanced and unbelievably powerful . he loves the Milano for sheltering him through all these years --- they’ve practically grown up together .
his small shrine , in the corner of the Milano , which consists of : a picture of Lord Ganesha , a Vishnu murti ( around the size of his palm ) , and a smaller image of Hanuman , as well as two or three candles . it’s the only connection he has to home , his religion , and while he isn’t as religious as perhaps the rest of the Quill family were , he tries his best when he remembers . most of these items are covered after prayer , so as not to be thrown around everywhere when he’s flying recklessly .
his backpack , the one he was wearing as a kid when he was kidnapped . containing : a pencil case , a notebook , the present his mother gave him , and a small magic 8 - ball ( that doesn’t even work anymore ) . reminders of his last day on earth , reminders of his childhood . he doesn’t want to lose them . the notebook has Praveen Quill written on the front page --- in both English and Gujarati , courtesy of his mom .

Peter will be the first to admit he doesn’t know why he still has it . he’s come close to throwing it away several times , but every time it ends up back in his pocket . perhaps there’s a small part of him that still believes that his dad isn’t all - bad , somehow . like he really is out there , an awesome intergalactic Hasslehoff , saving lives and being a hero --- and this is why he wasn’t around for Peter or Mallika .
his ravager jacket . there’s certain items of clothing he refuses to throw away , and despite not affiliating himself with the Ravagers , Peter still wears their garb . perhaps it serves as a reminder to who raised him . maybe it’s just comfortable , who knows .
