Chevrolet, Pearl Media, and Goodby Silverstein & Partners created the world's largest claw game with projections! The Chevy Sonic did this as part of their "Lets Do This" campaign. Wowza!
Live video compositing offers insight into how this girl might be feeling. I especially like the call back to 1980's glamour shots in second 0:15 of this video.
Jesus Christ Super Star on the 2012 tony award ceremony were all about the projection design. It looks like they piped the dancers through a live video feed, but don't you get me wrong, I'd have to ask the designer, sean nieuwenhuis, to be sure. I love the lath look of this projection area.
Similar to the Burberry Video I posted earlier, this video is Ralph Lauren. In 2010, he wanted to celebrate 10 years of his company's innovation by bringing a building on London's famous Bond Street to life. The lumens on the projector must be outrageously high because the projections are SO bright. Well done, RL.
It looks like this dance company used a projector in lue of stage lighting in Strasbourg. They achieve several great effects, mostly at the end of this video.
Look at this. Here is a neat example of the process and the end result. Very simple, elegant, and striking projections for this project presented for TV3 with Eduard Punset and Andreu Buenafuente.
Back to urban mapping. This isn't a theater, but imagine this or something similar happening behind a live dance performance. Also, notice how the players' scale is gigantic. This is an awesome effect and the crowd seems to like it. It looks like they are easily relaxing into this illusion.
