being super into stranger things is actually torture bc everyone knows what it is but nobody knows it like you do

it baffles me how much of the ga has such a genuine hatred for will. we are literally set up to empathize with him. he is one of the kindest and most sensitive characters, we’ve watched him go through hell and back and remain a sweet and good natured kid, and we see him struggle with the (seemingly) unrequited crush he has on his best friend

robin as an autistic(or at least neurodivergent) character is very important to me. it’s relatively rare that we get nd women in media!!
hence why it also pains me to see everyone calling her “lobotomized” in s5 when she isn’t masking, because it’s so very common for autistic traits in women to be overlooked or seen as annoying, chatty, or airheaded behaviors 🫠
people calling byler subtle r lowkey adding fuel to the “delusion” fire cuz no it’s not. maybe it was at first but especially after vol 1 it has been intentionally laid out for us. the only reason ppl don’t see it is because they cannot get past their own heteronormativity.
to me it’s like saying that wills sexuality was subtle before s4. no it wasn’t??? people just didn’t see it because they didn’t want to. byler is very clearly being set up by the narrative. i think obsessing over the tiniest of details makes some of u lose the fact that it’s still very obvious without all of that. subtle is not a word id use at all
