Continuing their publicity stunts for peace on the 4th February 1970, John and Yoko exchanged a bag of their recently shorn hair for a pair of Muhammad Ali’s bloodstained boxing shorts from Michael X. This took place on the rooftop of The Black Centre, at 95-99 Holloway Road, London. John and Yoko announced to press interviewing and photographing them that the boxing shorts would be auctioned to raise money for their peace campaign, although there is no evidence that ever happened. Likewise, the hair was to be auctioned to raise money for The Black Centre.
