I think telegram has the potential to replace tumblr. Announcement channels are basically curated feeds (like, basically a blog) posts can be forwarded to other feeds or group chats (like reblogging). It's also very secure and very private and has some of the most granular privacy options of any messaging app. It's not strictly like tumblr, but I think it could work.

I use Telegram in my personal life, so I’m not sure I agree, but if you think so, I’m sure it could possibly catch on!

People need to learn the difference between macro and micro sociology. Some concepts only apply at some levels. On an individual level people do discriminate but to say a society as a whole oppresses you need a lot more proof than pointing out that individuals discriminate.

Not really an ask but the other day a post of mine became popular on a moderately popular site. It was FLOODED with people making old 4chan jokes from 2003... I think I am too old for the internet now and that is sad because it's like moving away from your childhood home. :/

Haven’t heard from you in a while.

A few days ago I saw a rage comic on a cringe subreddit and I have no idea how I ever thought they were funny. Like...shit, did I have bad taste.

I literally plotted a chart on eating at McDonald's every day (tow meals for two people) or cooking a meal of pasta in canned sauce/soup. The daily cost of two meals for two at McDonald's is at least $12/day. You can make the meal I described (for servings - two meals for two people) for around $5.50/day, possibly cheaper. People still argue that McDonald's is cheaper. The upfront cost of the meal is around $7, because milk is like $4/gallon but you can use water for FREE if you want.

Wow, 12 dollars a day? I usually spend like 25€ a week to feed two people (and we’re both quite active and need a lot of food), but we don’t eat meat so that lowers the costs a bit. 

They usually just compare the price of a burger at McD to the price of a salad at McD, not realizing that the chicken salad can have more calories than the burger, lots of sugar, and is not really a healthy meal.

Daily bullshit I wish I screenshotted. I was on Facebok and someone posted a twitter "conversation" where one person basically said "If you don't feature my video I'll kill myself" and the other person was (saving you reading like 40 tweets) "Yeah, not gonna happen." The image was passed around saying "Black and report not-gonna-happen for encouraging someone to kill themself!" and I am just like... anyone who says shit like that is just asking for attention. It's calling a bluff...

It’s a complicated dilemma, because fishing for attention is often a cry for help, but at the same time you don’t want to give them the attention and encourage them to do that shit again.
