Like with many other DreamWorks titles I tackled, I decided to do Chicken Run on its 25th anniversary.
Both covers were made on June 22.
When it came to the cover art, I looked long and hard to find a high quality version that wasn't from the 2003/2006 prints. The one I found was a poster-esque version of the special edition release.
I removed Ms. Tweedy and the title logo from the sky with Photo Retouch, then used a good quality version of the title with the DreamWorks & Aardman wordmark while adding a white dim glow to it to match how it was added with the actual home releases.
Everything was pieced together with PhotoLayers, with the Universal 4K case template; the cover art; and the title.
As with all previous back cover art I do, after finishing the 4K cover, the back cover would be the hardest part. For this, I wanted to based it off the original 2000 back cover art that was set in a white background with Rocky and the hens while Nick and Fetcher were above in a circle.
I took Nick and Fetcher, the chickens, the logos, and the credits from the 2006/2018 DVD reprint.
With additional editing with Free Online Image Editor, I used Photoroom to remove the background sky from the chickens .
Nick and Fetcher in the circle relied on Photoroom, Free Online Image Editor, and Image Online's circle tool to make it all work.
The back cover of the Jaws: 50th Anniversary Edition 4K was used as the body of the whole thing, while I took bits and pieces from the back covers of Shrek 2 and Madagascar's 4K releases.
The "Bonus Features" banner was from the Madagascar 4K, while I added the Chicken Run bonus features from the Blu-ray (making sure I used the font that the Madagascar's 4K bonus features list was in, being "DINPro-Bold").
The description, written in the "PMingLiU-ExtB" font, is from the 2018 DVD and 2019 Blu-ray; I thought about adding the original, but went with the current one for consistency.
