Four of a Kind: 27

Here's another edition of Four of a Kind!  Number 27 if I do recall. Wow we've shown a lot of diversity over the past year. 

Just a friendly reminder that asexuality is such a wide spectrum of different views and experiences, with the only linking factor being a lack of sexual attraction. No one experience of asexuality is the same, and some are vastly different. From sex positive to sex repulsed, it's a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to showcase the beautiful diversity in our community.

Four of a Kind: 20

Here we are, 

Welcome one and all to the 20th Edition of Four of a Kind, a project started way back in January meant to shine a light on the diversity and uniqueness of all of those who preside under the asexual umbrella. 

Asexuals, are unique. Because allosexuals sit at one end of the spectrum, asexuals at the other. Between them, lies the realm of gray-sexuality. A place where people can express themselves in any form. A place that resembles more of a scatterplot of varying colours and shades rather than a number from 0-100.  A place where everyone who doesn't belong, will. 

That is why it's important for us to spread awareness and education. Lift each other up and offer the support we can. Because for every person that we add to to this beautiful patchwork of identities, a bright new colour is added to our spectrum. 

Remember to stay proud of who you are, and remember that pride is your own. No one may strip you of it.

Four of a Kind: 16

Hello There Potatoes!

The long awaited return of 4Kind is here! As we arrive at the 16th Edition of Four of a Kind, I think it's good to reflect upon why a project like this is important.

Four of a Kind is something that gives asexuals a voice, a choice, to define what their asexuality means to them in a way only they can. The nuances of the asexual spectrum are boundless, even within individual labels. Our community has been incredibly welcoming to me and I wish to share this community with the rest of the world. As I know the moment I figured out I was ace, it was a load off my shoulders.

It goes without saying, that knowing 1% of the population (7500 people) is/are asexual makes the world a whole lot brighter. Being able to find your place under this all encompassing umbrella is wonderful. It truly gives you an inner warmth and peace. That is the feeling I mean to spread with this project. It's a little love letter to all the asexuals out there. Just saying;

"Hey, I notice you. You are so loved and welcomed, and guess what? You're not the only one like this, come join us under this beautiful umbrella. Trust me, you'll be in good company."
