(Grey)asexual-ish Thoughts

Let me explain this right off the bat. I was writing my '3 Years On' post, marking the 3 years since I first learned of Aromantism. Part of that post was a reflection on being greysexual and how it, in a roundabout way, affirmed my aromanticism.

The thing is, that section of the post started to spiral. I was reflecting more and more on my greysexuality that it started to take over, and I thought that wasn't right for a post about being aromantic.

I wish my aromantism was as black and white like I feel like my asexuality is, like … I know for sure I’m ace because I’ve never wanted to have sex with a single person, ever. But my aromanticism is like well I fell in love with that one guy but idk if it really counts because it was short lived and the only time that’s ever happened in my life and all my celebrity “crushes” have been guys but they don’t really count as crushes because it’s more based around hyperfixation and aesthetic attraction than wanting to DATE them (thinking about it always really grosses me out) so I might be gay because I don’t really feel that way about girls ever?? But I’m aromantic because I don’t experience romantic attraction in the conventional sense at all but then I feel like I’m not allowed to think anyone is hot even though I DO just not in a way that means I want to date them or have sex with them. I guess I’m “arospec” but what that entails is SOOO CONFUSINGGG ugh I just wish I was normal

It's so crazy that if you're aromantic, once you move out of your families house you will be alone for the rest of your life. Like sir you could get roommates but it's always a trasitional thing, when you're "grown up" you don't want roommates (understandable) . But yeah thinking about when I move into my apartment im. Just.. gonna be alone forever. My friends will move on and have relationships, my family will be living their own lives . But I'm just alone. Im always going to be alone because I was born without something that apparently defines the human experience. I feel like a child screaming that its not fair . Im so sad I'm so angry I'm so scared I'm going to be alone alone alone

Pls don’t come after me if this is like completely incorrect. I’ve been trying to figure out where I fit as a person and like what my identity is and I’ve been thinking about aromanticism. I really want to be in a romantic relationship but no matter how hard I try I’ve never felt romantic attraction, and I can’t really picture myself in a romantic relationship or like doing romantic acts. To be honest it’s kinda freaking me out and I just need some advice or something idk
