After L’s death, Light used to buy a single slice of strawberry shortcake every week, he wouldn’t eat it in hopes the detective would show up unannounced and eat it.
Misa caught up on it early on but refrained saying something to Light. She weighted her options: she couldn’t eat all that cake since she was always on a diet and she couldn’t possible just let it in the fridge to rot away.
Instead she would sneakily eat a bite hoping to ease Light’s mind and after Light had seen that the cake was eaten she would throw it away or she would take it to her job and share it with her coworkers…
Light never found out and Misa never told anyone
