It’s pre-op testing day and I couldn’t be more excited. Here’s hoping all goes well and I can have surgery on May 5th.
From Showy Shih Tzu Love: Eight whole weeks today! Alicia is no longer nursing them, but they are all eating the wet kibble okay. Their weight gain will slow down now. :) This week they begin having the start of their "alone" training for an hour in the morning and afternoon so they get used to being without each other. They are already having grooming training and bag training and are doing really well...except a couple who complain about having their bottoms combed. Lol! We touch and wash their feet daily and trim their little nails so they will be easy to manage when older. They've got their first shot under their belts now so it's getting closer for them to meet their families! Today is two weeks since my surgery. I looked down at my legs and for the first time I noticed the muscle loss on my left leg. It shocked me and I was really taken aback. My legs have always been where my power is, especially my quads. That's where I've always felt my strength and I've been proud of them. To see the loss of that strength is really difficult. But I'll be able to rebuild the muscle, and as my roommate said, we can measure it and watch it grow. Like a chia pet! I'll make it.
