ANOTHER orthopedic doctor visit. This should just be labeled "Jason's Corner" between my knee and shoulder injuries... 😑👨⚕️👩⚕️🧑⚕️😑 . . . . . #California #knee #kneeinjury #patellartendon #meniscus #meniscustear #shoulder #collarbone #doctor #orthopedics (at California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNSy50qFGIv/?igshid=97rh7pz8lgvb
It was definitely a good day to be wearing #yaktrax after the snow and ice storm last night. Now that’s it’s above freezing a lot of the ice had started to melt and turn the trail muddy. But in the more shaded spots the footing was still pretty tricky. Another 25 minute 4/1 #runwalk bookended by walking warmups and cooldowns. Got my 3 miles but it was definitely slower today with all the traction issues. The knee continues on its very slow improvement path. I’m guessing it will be late spring at earliest before you see me on a starting line. And I’m OK with that. #runblr #injuredrunner #kneeinjury #injuryrecovery #snowyrun #mastersrunner #trailrunning (at Mantua, Virginia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CI6Gmg2n2ua/?igshid=mz7bdhmsxx1q
C25K Week 1 done. Little slower than yesterday but the 85% humidity was brutal. I also did a squat bench workout earlier today. First time back squating in about three months since I injured my knee. (I stepped in a hole while carrying cinder blocks)
Rebuilding this will be fun 😬
I ran outside for the first time since surgery. It was chilly and started raining on me, but I loved it. I ran just over a mile and a half, clocking my first mile back on the streets at 9:06
It felt like I would never make it back to this day. It's been entertaining to see the right hip bursitis has complained more than my newly rebuilt knee. The dedicated PT has brought me back and now I find the other parts of me lazily snapping to attention after atrophying for so long. I have to practice my breathing and syncing with my steps. As soon as I was cleared to push I started doubling my distances... it's not like it was, but things are starting to feel familiar... it feels really great to get back to me
I came across this today on the very day I have been feeling anxious especially with the knee injury. My training has come to a halt right in the middle of my 12 weeks training program 🤦🏽♂️! I must just accept things as they are and follow the advice from LAO TZU and just live in the moment. #anxiety #kneeinjury #laotzuquotes #liveinthemoment #peace #life #lifefitnesscoach https://www.instagram.com/p/BqciivilSPV/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ef2hoxuu174v
