Today is two weeks since my surgery. I looked down at my legs and for the first time I noticed the muscle loss on my left leg. It shocked me and I was really taken aback. My legs have always been where my power is, especially my quads. That's where I've always felt my strength and I've been proud of them. To see the loss of that strength is really difficult. But I'll be able to rebuild the muscle, and as my roommate said, we can measure it and watch it grow. Like a chia pet! I'll make it. My sweet @samistitches best Derby wife and friend I could ask for, pre-op with my stuffy possum, loopy post op with a popsicle, my Bama (abuelita) by my sad when I woke up, leg all wrapped and in excruciating pain (it took a lot of meds to stop the pain), and then home. Couch first then off to bed.
