After several minutes of trying to talk to him it became clear he couldn’t really carry on a conversation and Remus wasn’t sure what to say, so he offered to read to him. [...] “It’s Muggle fiction. One of my all time favorite books.” Sirius perked up. “That tollbooth one? That I replaced?” You remember that? Remus marveled silently. “No, another favorite. May I?” “Only if you lay in bed with me,” Sirius said, scooting to one side. Remus climbed in next to him and cleared his throat. “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat. It was a hobbit-hole…” Remus glanced up, his eyes meeting Sirius’s, a slight zappy feeling going through his body. “And that means comfort.”

Sirius jammed his hands in his pockets. “You think he realized?” James began laughing hysterically. “Remus? Remus The Most Oblivious Idiot In The World Lupin? Sirius, mate, you could probably tell him out right that you fancied him and he wouldn’t figure it out.”

"Oh, look what I found!” [James] produced a jar of slimy tendrils. “Gillyweed?” Remus asked. “Yup!” James put the jar back in his basket. “I think it’d be fun to explore the lake, underwater. Don’t you?” “I’ve already said absolutely not,” Peter said. “I think it’d be a… kraken good time,” James said and he and Sirius began laughing so loud the clerk glanced over with an annoyed expression. Peter glowered and gave James the middle finger.

Heyy, I am making some more fanart for your fic and I have a few character design questions if you don't mind answering. Ever since reading your character descriptions and discovering Sirius will eventually wear a chain star (fake) earring I have been way too excited. You said he will start to wear it during book 4, has he started to already? If so, is it really long? I was kinda picturing one of these..
Definetley not asking because I want to make it into an actual earring.
