“To delight in and savor the riches of God’s grace, we have to first understand that we are dead in our sin. We are not sick in our sins but dead.”

Dwelling In The Word Of God
The man who has made God his dwelling place will always have a safe habitation. – A.W. Tozer.
Solas Scriptura is one of the 5 Solas of the Christian faith. This is the sola that says authority and teaching come from the Word of God. Furthermore, His words are documented and preserved in the Holy Scriptures. And we, as Christ's followers, should live out and dwell in the Word of God.
Bible Reading
Today’s devotional reading is from the Letter of Paul to the Colossians 3:16. Please, read our recent devotional from the Letters to the Hebrews 2:10: Who Is The Captain That Saves You?
Dwell in the Word of God
Following Christ and being in communion with Him means that we also should be dwelling in His words. Paul reminds us today of this when he wrote to the Colossians, Let the words of Christ dwell in you richly.
When we immerse ourselves daily in the Word it becomes our teacher, and it will help us guide ourselves and others in wisdom. Rejoicing in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs all in thanksgiving to God, our Creator and Saviour.
How to dwell in the Word of God?
We are called to study and meditate in the scriptures daily. All of us, children and adults, should dwell in the Word of God. Paul wrote, Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee (1 Timothy 4:16-16).
The Holy Bible is not just a book with lots of good stuff. Rather, it is the living Word of God. Moreover, it is the very guide He has left for humans to be able to know Him and live a life pleasing to Him.
Reflection
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.
How often do you read the Bible in a week?
Have you neglected dwelling in the Word of God?
What are your styles in sharing the Word with others?
Have you accepted Christ in your life? Accept Jesus Now.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, who through the power of the Holy Spirit, caused all holy scripture to be written for our learning. We pray that we would diligently study Your Word, read, mark, learn and inwardly digest all that You have graciously provided for us. So, that we may come to a knowledge of salvation and Your will for our lives.
Open the eyes of our understanding and prepare our hearts by the power of Your Spirit, that we may receive Your Word with much joy and rejoicing and may we leave tonight having a deeper understanding of Who You are.
May we like Job, wonder at Your glory and majesty as we unfold the precious truths that are contained within its pages and may we say like him, "I have heard of You with my ears. But now You opened my eyes to spiritual truths and understanding that I never had before."
These we ask in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

explain sola scriptura and the 4 solas please
I'm currently writing a reply to another ask I got about Sola Scriptura, so I'll just briefly go over the other 4 Solas here, and let you read the other ask when I post it.
Aside from Sola Scriptura, out of the Protestant Reformation came Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria. The 5 Solas sum up the Gospel:
Sola Gratia, "Grace Alone." Salvation is a free gift of God, purely by God's grace, and not merited at all, in any sense, by us (Ephesians 2:8-9);
Sola Fide, "Faith Alone." We are justified purely and only by faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. The perfect righteousness of Christ is imputed to us through faith, and we are declared righteous by God (Galatians 3:11);
Solus Christus, "Christ Alone." Jesus Christ is the one and only Mediator between God and humankind, and our salvation is secured entirely in and through Him (1 Timothy 2:5); and in Christ, each and every believer is a priest with immediate access to God for the forgiveness of sins (1 Peter 2:9);
Soli Deo Gloria, "God's Glory Alone." Every aspect of the Christian life is lived for the glory of God, and not for the glory of any human being (1 Peter 4:11).

Música sobre os 5 Solas
Pedaço da letra:
" Tua lei mostrou minha maldade
Me vi perdido na iniquidade
Mas sendo rico em misericórdia por causa do amor com que me amou
me deu a vida, me deu seu filho
Em Cristo, justo o Pai me declarou"
