I thought you gave a damn but I was wrong. You filled me with beautiful lies and the promise of hope. You wrapped around my mind like a warm blanket and acted as if you loved me like a friend. But damn was I wrong about you. I was here for comfort and convenience and no more. You needed someone to vent to and tell you it would be okay. You wanted someone to care but you never intended to reciprocate, did you? Now you stick in my mind like a needle, stabbing at one nerve and reminding me not to let you in.
