BW: “I saw...Listen it was going really viral a couple weeks ago with Harry when they were waiting for him to come back and I just sent him a cpl of them, I don’t think he sees much online, so I did send him a few of the videos and we had a laugh about it. And I sort of… It definitely wasn’t me telling him to settle down, I can promise you that’s none of my business, but it was me having a little joke with him for sure because of the meme, people were using that meme and I found it very funny and so I thought it would be fun to put it in, and I knew he wouldn’t mind and I knew he’d see the funny side of it, which I think he did. “It was his birthday yesterday as well, and I’m very grateful he agreed to spend his birthday with us.”

RS: “Always good to see Harry, can’t complain about that.”

BW: “Yeah, it’s been beautiful having him around.”

How Liam Payne is set to be honored at the 2025 Grammy Awards... three months after his tragic death at age 31

Liam Payne will receive a special tribute during the 2025 Grammy Awards, three months after he suffered a fatal fall from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires.

Although fans were hoping that his former One Direction bandmates, would reunite during the ceremony in their late friend's honor, Ben Winston, executive producer of the Grammys show, confirmed that Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan would not be performing together.

Winston, however, did note that Payne would be honored during the In Memoriam section.

'It is a very difficult time. Losing Liam was very, very tough. No doubt about it. But, no, there will be no One Direction performance,' he told Entertainment Tonight. 'He was the most beautiful, wonderful boy and I love him very, very much. He is in, of course, our In Memoriam, without question.'

The director, who worked with the band on their music videos for songs like You & I, Midnight Memories and Night Changes, also spoke about how Payne's death hit him particularly hard as he had just seen him weeks before his tragic death.

'Actually that [Payne's passing] is a very sad thing for me — when you are going through rehearsals and seeing the clips and a guy that was sat in this office four weeks before that tragedy happened,' Winston said.

He went on to say that seeing Payne featured among the In Memoriam names this year was 'not something' he 'would ever have imagined.'

'It is extra sad for people — not just me who loved Liam, but for many,' he concluded.

Payne will also be honored at the BRIT Awards next month.

Sea, I’m reading the most absurd things!!! Fans defending harry and feeling sorry for him because yesterday he looked devastated!!!

They are writing fanfictions!!! 🤣

One of my mutuals had a really good take. Let me post it.

My thoughts fwiw: I think all 4 men were devastated by Liam’s passing, even Harry. I also think (here comes my fanfiction take) Louis was by far the most affected, and there was absolutely tension between him and Harry. I know we didn’t see inside the church, but I think there was avoidance outside, and not just to deny paps a photo. I think Ben Winston and James Corden arrived with and flanked Harry for support, not just for Liam’s death, but as a buffer between Harry and his former bandmates. Niall gets on with Harry, clearly. Louis may well see Harry’s indifference to Liam’s struggles over the years, and Harry’s Industry Boy status is even less palatable to Louis now, having lost his close friend.

Again, to me the real divide between Louis and Harry had nothing to do with any past relationships. Niall probably gets along with both, but his standing with Harry, Ben, and James outside (in clear view of paps) is unsurprising. I’d bet Louis and Niall are fine. I hope Zouis have or will put their fallout behind them. I think Louis was 100% focused on Liam yesterday but I absolutely could see him being just civil to or totally avoiding Harry, Ben, and James. He truly cared about Liam.

Great observation about Fulwell arriving with Harry, who has never been good standing up for his convictions. I actually really pity Harry, as well as any future partners he may have, who can never count on Harry Styles to have their back.

Of course Harry’s fans defend him. They’re very good at covering for someone who doesn’t care about them (Iike most Trump voters).

03 Aug 2026: so in retrospect, the Zouis fallout over their Netflix idiocy was perfect for Harry to reclaim top dog status again. Harry remains “above it all,” the rest are uncivil riffraff fighting for scraps.
