Her style is very much influences by portraits of women throughout history and tries to mimic those paintings in photography. Dorfman was an American portrait photographer known for her gigantic prints. She utilized one of the six only 20 by 24 inch Polaroid cameras in existence to create her work. Her portraits are now displayed all across the United States, especially after she passed away in May this year.

His art has stirred a lot of discussion in the art world on pollution and climate change.

Feliciano Centurión

Centurión utilized textile art to share his experience as a South American queer man in the 1990′s to the world. Before passing away in 1996 due to AIDS-related complications, he his art helped spread Latin American art to more countries, specifically North America. His art not only brought about a lot of different conversations through his art of modern societal issues, but delivered these topics through both diligence and earnestness. Feliciano blended historical folk art aesthetics with bold queer aesthetics to compare and contrast the two worlds.
