SONY AIMING FOR 50 VR GAME TITLE RELEASES IN 2016.

Sony has announced the price and release date of the PlayStation VR at the Global Developers Conference in March. Sony also said, the company has expressed an ambitious goal to release 50 VR games by the end of 2016. As the console-compatible VR headset will not be released until October, if Sony delivers even a half that number, there will be an insane amount of VR action that can take a place under you tree or in your stocking this Christmas.

Update on the #50in2016 Project

This Is How I'm Going to Publish 50 Books in 2016 May 1, 2016 First, I have to apologize for not being communicative with my updates for all of those who have been tracking my progress with the #50in2016 project. It’s been a busy first 5 months of 2016 – where did the time go? Here is a breakdown of my time from January to May in 2016:

Short, one-off freelance gigs. That includes writing articles for Examiner and AXS, writing press releases for other people, editing other people’s chapters, essays, articles, etc…

Weekly projects for my long-term clients, including bulk article ghostwriting, editing, and marketing.

Ghostwriting. It’s hard to go back and count the number of books I have ghostwritten for other people this year, but scouring the folders of my computer, I would guess that I’ve ghostwritten between 18-20 books.

But, Ryan! You’ve only published 14 of your own books so far this year! And that’s that problem! Balancing freelance writing that pays the bills and writing my own books for #50in2016. Which I guess is the same struggle that everyone who is trying to break into writing books full-time faces. But, there is another reason I haven’t published more books yet – I am steering away from lean and generic ebooks and focusing more on in depth, detailed, and profoundly influential books. Here is a riveting list of forthcoming books you can expect from me later this year:

How to Predict Future Music Trends: A Guidebook for Musicians – this is a book I started writing 5 years ago and includes quotes from hundreds of famous musicians I’ve interviewed regarding what it takes to make music that shapes the industry.

An untitled and very thorough book about author marketing tips.

An untitled book about the best way to navigate the world of finances and taxes for small business owners, freelancers,contactors, and people who find themselves in odd jobs.

A heavily detailed book about nootropics, upregulation, and cognitive optimization written to help the busy entrepreneur.

So, I plan on buckling down and getting at least 4 out of 5 of those out in the month of May. Lastly, I recently started using Toggl task timer, and it has done wonders for my productivity. If you’ve ever looked back on a work day and wondered, “where did the time go?” Toggl is your new best friend. This is how I plan to write, publish & market 50 books in 2016

Everyone should have a New Year’s resolution. A brand new year is the perfect opportunity to commit to a change in your life that they want to make. Like most people, I’ve made my share of different resolutions over the years, only a fraction of which I was actually able to keep.

“This year will be different!” is the mantra for everyone who aspires to make and keep a New Year’s resolution. For me, 2016 really will be different. In 2016, I will write and publish 50 books. For me and for many writers like myself, this is the ultimate challenge. Making a living writing books full-time has always been my dream since I wrote my first novel when I was 10 years old. My first book to actually get published took me 10 years to write and only sold a handful of copies. I currently have two books which I self-published and their sales certainly don’t equate to the amount of time I spent writing them. All of that will change in 2016. I have done extensive research on the subject of successful self-publishing plan to make a full-time living from the books I will publish in 2016, which won’t be so different from my current job. I am a freelance writer by trade, and although I offer a variety of writing services, my specialty is ghostwriting books. Just in the last few months, I’ve been ghostwriting an average of 3 books every week, around 10,000 words a day and impressing clients with every completed job. Here is my plan for writing 50 books in 52 weeks. 1. Research a topic to write about. This is either something I know quite a bit about or would like to learn about. I’m lucky enough to have a great deal of life experiences in my 29 years on Earth and have a wealth of first-hand knowledge to write about. While ghostwriting books for clients on a variety of subjects, I discovered that writing books is also the best way for me to learn about any particular subject. I have a background in journalism and still write for a variety of publications today, so researching subjects comes naturally to me. This is why I will also be researching, writing and publish books about topics that are either interesting to me or I feel that other people can benefit greatly from. Most of the books I write will be non-fiction, however, I will be writing and publishing several genre fiction books as well. As with most writers, I suffer from an overactive imagination. The stories for the fiction books I will be writing are already developing themselves in my head, and this is the perfect opportunity to get them out and into the world. 2.Write. While working as a freelance writer, I quickly learned that my maximum output is 10,000 words a day. Therefore, most of my books will be between 30,000 and 60,000 words, or however long it takes to write a quality book with detailed information or a complete story. I do not plan on using images in my books. 3.The Cover. As I do not possess a strong affinity for graphic design, I have a designer on retainer to produce the covers for each of my books. As soon as I decide on a title for a book, I will pass it along to my designer. By the time I am finished writing, the book cover will be complete. 4.Format. I will be creating epub formats of my books with Sigil, Calibre and Adobe Digital Edition. 5.Publishing. All of my books will be published to Kindle Direct Publishing. I will be using the same author name, Ryan Stabile, regardless of the genre of the book. This is so people can track my progress for publishing 50 books in 52 weeks, although I may sort different genres of books with different pen names at a later time. I have also created the website, Wordsareswordspublishing.com, as my indie publishing house specifically for this project. Whatever time I have remaining each week will be dedicated to marketing these books. One of the services I offer as a freelance writer is helping other authors market and promote their own books and I will be using many of the same techniques to market my own books.
