As we go into the weekend leading to Valentine's Day and everyone is focused on LOVE, let's practice Self Love. Don't get me wrong. I love love! I encourage and support it! But, in order to really be a good partner, we must be sure to first love ourselves. So, take some time for you! Love on yourself. Buy yourself flowers. Take yourself on a date! Do whatever it is that brings you joy and peace in this crazy world. #7 of 50- Physical Awareness Day. So many times we get so busy that we tend to forget to take care of ourselves. But, let's make new habits! Let's be aware of what foods we're putting in our temples. Oh, yes, it applies to food, too. Let's be mindful of how we take care of our temples. Are we keeping it in nice shape by taking care of it or are we letting it go and get worn down? Take mental or physical notes of where you are today. Decide if you're in a good place or not. We need prayer now more than anything! And being in a position of leadership can be a draining task, but the prayers of others give strength and encouragement! Pray! Pray! #5 of 50- Call a Friend! Actually pick up your phone (cell or landline) and place a call to a friend. Maybe even a friend that you haven't spoken to in some time. I don't know if you're like me, but texting has replaced so many phone calls with it's convenience. But it can never replace the joy of actually hearing someone's voice. So, go ahead and set aside 10 minutes, 30 minutes....maybe even an hour or more. Call A Friend today!
