Diane's cookies are ideal for commemorating 50 years of joy and happiness. The combination of chocolate chips and nuts optional in the soft and chewy cookie dough will make you happy.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped nuts optional.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Melt the butter and mix it with the white sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step. Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. If you want to use them, add the chopped nuts and chocolate chips in last. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets that have not been greased. After the oven is hot, bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. Serve the tasty "Celebrating 50 Years" cookies and enjoy them!
