This 1955 Chev has been a regular at Racewars. Did a speed over the rolling half mile of 218.90km/h but did 210.71 km/h over the rolling quarter mile so would appear to be geared for the quarter. Car is a regular at the local off street drag meets as well.

1955 Chevy and 1957 Chevy with flame paint jobs. The 55 is obvious, the 57 is a lot more subtle.

55 Chevy that came for the show and shine at Racewars in Albany. Talking to the owner it used to be his Dad’s car and he had only recently aquired it. Bringing it back to the family.

Centrifugal blower set up on this 1955 Chev allowed it to run a very respectable 247.42km/h trap speed in the rolling 800m runs at Racewars before a fuel leak and small fire stopped play. The engine bay pics were taken after the fire so no major damage.

There were a couple of nice 55 Chevies on display at Racewars plus one racing. This was one of the display cars.
