Here we have the swarms of magnetic storm eaters, magnemite, ton, and zone! To any area with frequent storms they'd be an odd mechanical phenomenon. They make good set dressing, your party enters a town that gets swarms of little automatons riding from the earth every thunderstorm, bending the lightning into spirals. This line has the largest number of resistances in the games but weak to middling HP, which I tried to show. Tough to break through, but if you have fire they just melt. Note they're intelligent however, they will definitely focus on whoever uses fire, or just flee immediately. Now here are some encounter ideas. - A group of wizards is attempting to gather lightning, but their tower is being plagued by swarms of magnemite looking to eat it. The party is asked to hold them off while the experiment is being done! - An gnomish artificer is attempting to create a magneton, and asks the party to gather 3 magnemite for him. Once accomplished, the wizard immediately slams them into a machine that hurtles them into an orbiting angle while shooting out a thunderbolt. It works! You now have one very dizzy and extremely angry magneton, ready to show you it's more than the sum of its parts!...wait that isn't good. - Locals have long watched the magnemite rise to the clouds at dusk, but lately have noticed a distinctly different shape watching right back. Looking out thier window at night to find it above the fields, one glowing red eye boring through the darkness. Never acting, but always watching. The villiage is slowly starting to panic, as nobody knows what it is or what it wants, but nothing they do even phases it...and its retaliation leaves craters where people once stood.
