what all songs have 5sos copied???

okay so there’s teenagers/she’s kinda hot. she’s kinda hot also copies lyrics from meet you in paris by the jonas brothers. there’s also sugar we’re going down/social casualty for the guitar parts, and then social casualty also has extremely similar lyrics to fat lip by sum 41 and minority by green day. permanent vacation also copies green day’s longview and sum 41′s motivation. out of my limit copies all the small things by blink 182. rejects copies i feel like dancin by all time low. the intro of beside you sounds pretty similar to green day’s give me novacaine.

Ok I would like to correct myself I'm sorry but I just listened to both songs and they both are 12 bar blues but that gives them even less of an excuse to sound the same because countless jazz songs are 12 bar blues and yet they all manages to sound different. What makes them sound so similar is the fact that the singing parts/articulations are verryyyy close, plus the main chorus sounds like almost the same chord progression. They have no excuse for that (also srry about my mistake)

no worries!! i’m pretty sure that when they’re in the studio, they just have like a bag full of band names written on pieces of paper, and they pull one out at random and it dictates who they’re gonna copy for their next song

yo pumpkin I actually agree with you but I still have hope that maybe sounds good feels good will have something good and original because I don't want to give up on them (which is kinda stupid but whatever)

i honestly hope it does too, they have a lot of fans that deserve to hear something new and fresh so i want them to get out of this habit of copying old songs

Ok I know you're done talking about this but I would just like to add that teenagers isn't even a normal 12 bar blues?? I guess it has a pattern that kind of sounds like that but it's actually like a 9 bar pattern and the chord changes don't line up with the 12 bar blues PLUS it doesn't even use any blue notes so??? They have no excuse

oh my god thank you for telling me this, it makes it all even better bc it was the guitarist “explaining” the similarity and yet he doesn’t even know what he’s talking about

I get so mad when I see girls at the boys gigs in short shorts and crop tops and plaid shirts, I mean when I went to their show in feb every girl apart from me was in that outfit as if they were trying to get their attention and I just showed up in a leather jacket and black jeans which Is what I always wear. It just makes me mad that girls try so hard to be what the boys want in a girl 😂

I feel you on that one, my cousin and I have had many conversations about some of the girls that dress like that to some of their conversations but hey, you can’t really decide what they wear. Basically my wardrobe consists of band shirts and jeans, I’d wear that to a concert along with converse or vans. I’m not really into crop tops or really short shorts because i’m an insecure person so yep.
