6.14.16. We are a little wild for Rainbow Rowell right about now. We also had to move a mattress into the living room because I’m so depleted during this last week of teaching.

Setlock Recap, 6.14.16

Mad Dog Casting put out a call for a mixed race, male, driving double needed for night shoots in Cardiff on July 4 through 6, though we don’t know if it’s for Sherlock or not.

This evening’s filming started on the Golden Jubilee Bridges, near the London Eye. Nick Hurran and Neville Kidd were spotted there, and later Mark arrived, too (not in costume). The film crew took the opportunity to record an interview with him on the bridge. The scene being filmed was Sherlock and the woman in the red dress walking along the bridge together. There’s the sound of something falling, possibly the cane (which Sherlock is holding in some of the pictures), and Sherlock bends/falls over, seemingly clutching at his stomach. He groans/cries out in pain (the intensity varying from take to take), and the woman in red looks at him but doesn’t respond much beyond than that. When Sherlock stands again, they have a brief interaction and then Sherlock walks away from her. (More pics here: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)

The crew then moved to the north end of the bridges where they filmed some supporting actors walking across the street.

The final portion of filming at this location was at the south end of the bridges in Jubilee Gardens. In this scene, Sherlock and the woman in red are sitting on a bench facing the Thames. They have a conversation, and Sherlock stands and throws something into the river, possibly a gun which may or may not have come from the woman’s bag. Sherlock leans over the railing and looks as if he’s heaving, and then he yells and falls to the ground. The woman walks away. When Sherlock stands and walks off, he seems to be limping. [I’m marking this unconfirmed only because there are no pics of this part of the scene.]
