Neighbours
“Hey so i know we dont really know each other but when we pass in the hall we always smile at each other and sometimes wave, plus you seemed really nice when exchanged names that one time so anyway my roommate has her boyfriend over AGAIN and they’re getting rather.. physical and I cannot stay and listen to them its just…wrong. Any chance I can hang out here for a couple hours?” You ranted as you stood outside his door.
“Sure.” Was all he said as he opened the door wider so you could walk in.
You began to thank him as you closed the door then carried on, “so is there anywhere specific you want me to sit?”
“Anywhere cool as long as you pass me the cookies on the counter please.”
You picked up the delicious looking cookie off the counter before heading towards Michael, deciding to just sit beside him on couch since there weren’t that many options.
“So,err, so do you wanna watch some netflix or something? I dont tend to have company so I’m not quite sure what to do.” Michael said kinda nervous.
“Netflix sounds good, so long as you know we’re not gonna be doing the ‘chill’ part.”
“Of course, never even crossed my mind, I promise. What is it you wanna watch?”
“Anything Disney is good with me.”
“Finding Nemo it is.” Mike replied getting it all set up, “Y'know you dont have to sit there all stiff, relax, take your shoes off, i’m not gonna bite.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his words as you removed your shoes then situated yourself on the couch so you were much more comfortable. Once Michael noticed you were now settled he began the movie.
Before long you found yourself getting rather tired, deciding to close your eyes for just a minute, however before you knew it 'just a minute’ turned into several hours meaning you found yourself waking up on an unknown couch with an extremely soft blanket on top of you with an equally soft pillow beneath your head.
“Morning sleepy head” Mikey greeted before taking a sip of his coffee.
“I was only supposed to close my eyes for a minute what happened?”
“You closed them for a lot longer.” Michael replied sarcastically before continuing, “About half way or so through the movie I noticed you had closed your eyes. I didn’t have the heart to wake you up, especially when you started using me as a pillow.”
“Oh God, I didn’t drool on you did i?” You asked as you lowered your head in embarrassment.
“No. But you do have the cutest little snore i’ve ever heard."At this you let out an embarrassed groan.
Before the two of you could say anymore there was a knock at the door, it was your room mate letting you know it was safe for you to come home.
"Well, thank you for having me Michael.” You told him with a smile once your roommate was gone.
“It was a pleasure Y/N. In fact I was thinking maybe we could do it again sometime? Maybe you could actually stay awake?”
“I’d love to.” You replied smiling at him before going back to your own apartment.
