I honestly can't believe that the writers had Dodger say to Cleo that he'd rather be with her than with Theresa & (the real shocker) Myra P & that he'd basically give them up for her.
This is the Dodger who went on the run sacrificing himself for his daughter Nico, who gave up Maxine who he desperately wanted to be with for Nico yet he just told Cleo he'd rather be with her than Tee & his other daughter Myra P. (Just out of character even saying that, also Theresa is one thing & Myra P is quite another).
While I think Theresa is being treated terribly by both Dodger & Cleo. I do think Dodger shouldn't be with Tee out of some sort of obligation or gratitude. (Theresa deserves better). Dodger is the one who tried to convince himself & Tee that he was in love with her. He told Theresa she was the most beautiful woman in the world to him & he told her repeatedly how much he loved her when Tee was having doubts & brought up Cleo he told Tee that he was only interested in her. I think Dodger does love Theresa in his own way but doesn't have the same kind of intense strong feeling as he has for Cleo.
Funny how he always seems to find partners of his family members particularly attractive ;-)
The writers want us routing for Deo as a couple, to see them as these star crossed lovers & for me it's not working at all and as much as I love Dodger, I'm not enjoying this storyline. I didn't even watch Weds ep until today (when previously I watched it on the app first thing in morning that it gets released) as I lost enthusiasm. It would have been so much better if the show did the rape storyline better, more in depth and for longer and didn't drop things like workplace bullying in favour of weeks of Deo. I don't like watching the rubbish affair storyline & if anything I just want Sienna back ASAP hoping she'll find out & expose the affair pronto. I doubt Dodger will then be welcome at either the McQueen's or Sienna's flat, maybe Darren would put him up (as Donny lives with Misbah next door to the McQueen's may be a bit too awkward).
What do you think? Also have you theory about how & when the affair will get exposed?
I agree with pretty much everything you said, anon, I don’t really have anything to add! I don’t yet have any idea how the affair will be exposed or when, but I’m sure it will be messy
