Finally on today! I didn’t have a lot to do for Japanese today as I had 2 linguistics lectures so not much to do regarding new information. We looked at how to say when our birthday was (たんよびは じゆうがつ ここのかです) and all the days of the month and the months including the kanji! We also looked at contracted syllables and how they’re different than written sounds just next to each other. Me and my flat mates went to the shops because one of them needed a baking tray 😂

Day 2! (Still late on schedule but I’m putting them up now!) I have Japanese lectures everyday which is fun albeit a tad draining 😅 I had quite a lot of free time this afternoon in between lectures so I went to the subject common room and did some revision and did some kanji practice because we’ve started on that already 😂 Also my notes always seem to be either orange and black or green and grey so I think those are going to be the colour schemes for this notebook 😂 We looked at numbers and days of the week today and started looking at the kanji for these which was super interesting even if my kanji writing is absolutely appalling 😬😂

This is 3 whole days late but boy I have been S O busy!! My Japanese course is super fun atm and the lecturers are so lovely! It’s a beginners class but some people already know some more advanced stuff which was a little daunting and I felt super self conscious (and still do tbh) but the class is super nice! Most of my mentor group are in the same classes as me and I made a few friends in a few other classes as well! It feels like there’s so much to learn and so fast though!

Can you tell I don’t get out much? We’re back at, that’s right you guessed it, my desk!!

Nothing much done today aside from kanji and katakana revision! My friends friend came to stay with us for a day so we went out to kbbq for dinner and ended up socialising with her until quite late and then went to a friends small gathering and met some new people! My former statement of not getting out much seems hypocritical now because all I’ve done is socialise 😂 Anyway! Going to go over everything I’ve learnt this past week tomorrow and try get a better grasp on all of the things I’ve been struggling a tad with or things I haven’t fully understood.

((This is late again!!)) managed to get some textbook work done and then had a quick look over the kanji sheet for our test next week. Ended up spending a lot of time on campus and in town today just because I was so busy! And my friends old flatmates had a house warming party and I was an honorary member so I went along and socialised a bit!
