So for the Narrative Unit, we are developing a Vertical Slice and conveying emotion in 60 seconds. The first area of the game is the bedroom...

So the basis of ‘Todd’ is following the first 60 seconds after a girl wakes up in her house but it’s complete darkness. Her only consistent source of light being an ambient glow from her bear; Todd.

Everything in her room seems normal until she turns around and sees small things out of place.

Nothing is as it was throughout the rest of the house. But the main point of design for her room is ‘colourful and safe’.
