828-Preserved at the Strathspey Railway
9 “Donald” and 10 “Douglas”-are preserved on the North Western Railway.
D60 (860)-First of the class to be withdrawn, but was transferred to the Denbigh and Wrexham Railway after withdrawal in 1946.
17616 “Andrasta”-Youngest of the Class, purchased by the Chester and Holyhead Railway upon withdrawal in 1948, named for the Brittonic goddess of Victory.
812-the class prototype, preserved by the Caledonian Preservation Railway.
862-One of the last two to be withdrawn, pulled from Arnott Young Scrapyard in Troom in early 1964 by the Caledonian Preservation Railway.
17568 “Deandre”-One of the last two to be withdrawn, Preserved at the Suddrian Railway Museum.
17627 Colin and 17572 Fenella- are preserved on the Rose Line.
57581-is preserved on the Spa Valley Railway.
57590-is under private ownership.
57592- disappeared from British Railways in 1963, discovered running a short line in Wisconsin.
57607- Preserved at the Krestaen Railway Museum.
17565-is preserved at the St. Rollox Museum in Glasgow.
877Subclass
Three members of the class were sold into industrial use upon withdrawal in 1962. Shortly after, the engines were rebuilt into tank engines so that they could use the turntables the facility had. When preservation Railways came together to purchase the trio in the 1980s, the rebuilds were given proper Caledonian styling, to make them an original class of Caledonian tank engine, affectionately known as the 877 class.

824 “Tilda”-is preserved at the Caledonian Preservation Railway.
873 “Agnes”-is preserved on the Rose Line.
