17 + Rei
17. “Why am I doing this…isn’t this supposed to be your job?”
You groaned as you threw down your pen, glaring at your boyfriend who was sitting on the desk across from you, his feet up on the table as he took a drag of his cigar.
“Why am I doing this…isn’t this supposed to be your job?” you growled, pushing Rei’s feet off of the desk with a huff. The Chuuoku office was deserted save for the two of you, most of your coworkers having left early on what looked like a lovely Friday afternoon.
Although, you could only assume this from looking out the window as you were still working through mountains of paperwork. What was supposed to be a joint effort with yourself and Rei was now just you working through the forms as fast as possible with Rei...doing absolutely nothing.
“I’m supervising,” Rei said, smirking as he shrugged his wide shoulders. “Don’t forget to initial line 17,” he added, nodding towards the paper you were working on.
“I know that,” you spat, grabbing your pen to wave it at him. “I’ve been working on these forms for hours,” you reminded him. “It might go a little faster if you bothered to help at all.”
Rei sighed and rolled his neck, stretching in his seat but only sinking lower.
“Aww, you don’t want my help, sweetheart,” he cooed, teasing you. “You’re doing it so well, don’t let me get in the way.”
“You’re the absolute worst,” you hissed through clenched teeth, turning back to the paper, just wanting to go home at this point. “Can you try to be at least a little bit helpful? Do something. Literally anything,” you ranted, annoyed that your boyfriend wasn’t trying to help you in the least bit.
Rei eyed you closely before inching his chair towards you. He enjoyed teasing you - it was too easy to wind you up and make you frustrated, and the look of annoyance on your face was too cute for him to resist.
“Well I won’t help with the papers...” he said, moving closer towards you and resting his hand on your thigh. “But maybe I can help you with something else.”
