– Ichiro would be the best lover you could ever ask for. He's so attentive and loving that it melts your heart. He knows every little thing about you that you were sure he wouldn't remember, so it would always be a sweet surprise when he'd gift you your favourite snack or drink.
– Despite how busy he is, you're always on his mind. Whenever he thinks about you, a smile never fails to creep up on his face. He's always hoping that your day goes the way you want it to, but if it doesn't, he'll always be there to cheer you up!
– His love language would definitely be acts of service. If you want something done, he'll do it in seconds. If you can't or don't have the motivation to run your usual errands, he'll do it for you instead. If you're an anxious and shy individual, he'll be your voice. He won't even mind it if you can't speak up for yourself because he'll do it for you.
– He'll be there to stand up for you if you aren't able to. He'll even be mad at your behalf if something or someone hurts you. Because of this, the person who has done you wrong will apologise immediately.

– When he first had a crush on you, Ichiro was extremely bashful. He couldn't help it though. You were just so amazing and pretty. His eyes would light up every time he saw you. But he tried being subtle about it. His confession was kind of subtle too, but it was cute and romantic - just like the romance novels he reads.
He had brought you to a place where you could see the stars in the skies clearly, how beautiful they sparkled from where you stood.
You were in awe of how they looked. "Wow, the night sky is so pretty from up here!" you exclaim.
"Mhmm," Ichiro agrees. "This is how I see you too."
– The two of you would definitely watch anime together. You would give him recommendations of your favourite ones and he would immediately watch them. He loves all your suggestions and always asks for more.
– In addition, you would read manga with him too - sometimes together or just separately - but when you read together, he likes it when the two of you lay on your fronts as he holds the manga for you.
– You would cook together too. It feels like you're already married considering you take care of his younger brothers as well. After all, they're kids, so you treat them with love and care, cooking them meals and eating together like a family too.
– However, when you first met his brothers, they didn't seem to like you. You knew why as their reasons were obvious. They were so possessive of Ichiro, fully believing you were going to take him away from them. It was hilariously cute, but you had to reassure them with actions that wasn't your intention.
– You find their love for Ichiro really sweet, so you try befriending them. However, since they were so hard to get, Ichiro had to tell them to be nicer to you.
– Gradually, they start warming up to you. Jiro probably warms up to you first before Saburo does. They realise how much you care about their big bro and how much you care about them too. They always feel fluffy whenever they talk to you since you're so attentive and kind.
– Therefore, when they finally do approve of the relationship, they start wanting to hang out with you too. They think of you as their older sister or even a mother with the way you act. They love having you around, so it feels kind of empty whenever you're not there. When you were gone for almost two weeks due to work, they're the ones who miss you more than Ichiro does.
– Ultimately, being in a relationship with Ichiro is warm and loving. There's never a dull day being in the Yamada household either. It becomes a second home to you where you never want to leave as it's so comforting and full of life.
– And perhaps one day, this life will become a permanent one, where you get to stay with Ichiro forever alongside his brothers too.

A/N: For this, I decided to write the younger sister reader as a year or two younger than Saburo (age 12/13). I prefer the older sister trope when it comes to the baby bros, but this is actually a really cute fic request and I had a blast writing it!
Saburo's section was the hardest to write for, I'm not sure how it's longer than Ichiro's and Jiro's lmao I wrote this really quickly because I love them so so much, and I was honestly waiting for someone to request these three haha
ICHIRO YAMADA
- He doesn’t like picking favourites out of all his siblings, but Jiro and Saburo knows for sure that you’re his favourite.
- Is very kind towards you — of course he is kind to his brothers too — but even if you make a big mistake, he’ll just laugh at you, ruffle your hair, and tell you not to do it again. However, just because he's like this to you, doesn't mean he won't be stern. You need to learn that things have its consequences!
- You’re his cute little sister! All he wants to do is spoil you. Whenever he’s out and about in the streets of Ikebukuro, and something cute catches his eye, he’ll buy it for you. You’re always appreciative of it. Unfortunately, he won’t buy you snacks even when you beg for it.
“Nope, no snacks for you, (Y/N). It’ll ruin your teeth.”
“But onii-chan!”
“No means no.”
- Is very overprotective since he’s well known for his past delinquency and now for his role as leader for the Buster Bros. He’ll usually say no when you want to hang out with your friends from school. You understand why he’s doing this, but it’s still going to be annoying.
“Why can’t I just live a normal life?!” you cry one day.
Ichiro tenses up at this. “H-Hey, I’m trying my best, (Y/N)… Why don’t we do this? You can hang out with your friends this weekend if you let one of us keep an eye out for you?”
You take a while to answer.
“Okay… as long as you don’t make yourself seen by my friends.”
“Haha, deal.”
- Despite that, you’re able to hang out with all your brothers together whether it’s just to eat outside for lunch! Ichiro let’s you ride on his shoulders or hold hands with you. Even when you’re just 6/7 years younger than him, he still thinks of you as a baby.
- If you want a bite of his lunch, he'll easily give you some.
- Reads you a story when it's time to go to bed because he's been doing it since you were a toddler. He treasures this time so much because he knows that once you grow up, you won't want him to read you a bedtime story anymore.
- Sometimes you'll ask him to tell you a story of what he does with your brothers as the Buster Bros. He won't give you too many details, so you never know the full story of his adventures. Won't tell you much about his delinquent days. In fact, he may never mention it at all.
- Gives you a little goodnight kiss once you fall asleep, but will also kiss your forehead when you're about to drift to sleep.
- Is the first person to introduce you to his favourite animes and manga. You'd watch it together sometimes although your tastes may differ. If you like shonen, well good for both of you. If you like shojou, Ichiro will still watch it with you, and may even develop his tastes for it.
- Whilst watching anime together, you would rest your head on his lap. He'll stroke your hair like a cat.
- When you catch him taking a nap, you'd get on top of him like a blanket to take a nap on him. You're only doing this for the giggles because once he wakes up due to the heavy weight on his back, he gets super confused.
- Probably the brother that you hug the most out of. He's big and gives you the best hugs. Would lift you up in the air when the occasion is right.
- Your big brother that you respect. The first person you would go to whenever you need help. You find him to be the most reliable (which isn't surprising).
JIRO YAMADA
- You title him the more fun brother. Despite getting into arguments with Saburo all the time, he’s very sweet towards you. Why wouldn’t he be though? Look at you! You’re his cute little sister!
- However, if you were to make a mistake, he will get a bit angry with you, but not to a point where he’ll make you cry. He's just stern with you. Would probably pinch your cheeks and pull on them, laughing at how funny your face would look.
- Probably the brother that makes fun of you (but only as a joke)!
- Wants to spoil you too. Is willing to buy you your favourite snacks! Whenever he goes to hang out with his friends and he's at a shop, he texts you what snacks you want.
"Just don't tell nii-chan, alright?" he whispers with his index finger to his lips.
"Mmm!!" you agree happily.
- Is probably the brother that keeps an eye on you when you hang out with your friends from school. Weirdly enough, he's quite good at making himself not be seen by your friends AND you. It really feels like you're not even being followed by him. He also has friends that are willing to watch out for you too.
- He isn't really reliable when you need help on your homework though. Everyone in the family knows that Jiro isn't really smart when it comes to academics. You don't really mind it though because you still respect him nonetheless. You know he's trying, and you could actually relate to him in a way. He appreciates how understanding you are.
- So he's the only brother you would trust with when your grades aren't as good as you hoped they'd be. Sometimes you're just too scared to confront Ichiro about it, so Jiro would be your first option when you need to tell him about your failures. He would cheer you up and tell you that you can do better next time, encouraging you to tell Ichiro when you're ready.
"Jiro nii-chan, I didn't do well on my science test..." you whimper. "Onii-chan is going to be mad at me..."
"It's okay, (Y/N). It was probably just a bad day. You'll do well next time, so don't be sad! Do you want me to be there for you when you tell nii-chan?"
"Yes, please..."
- Likes to give you piggybacks, and is also willing to hold your hand too — only if you want to though, he doesn't usually initiate it.
- Unlike Ichiro, if you want a bite of his lunch, he'll refuse (only jokingly though). He ends up giving you a bit if you really wanted it.
- Likes to make you laugh by either telling you stupid jokes, making fun of Saburo, or just tickling you.
- Sometimes you hang out with him to play soccer. He really enjoys the sport, and you were always curious as to why. You may grow to like it too or maybe it's because you're just spending time with your big brother.
- Along with Saburo, he is the brother who picks you up from school. Ichiro is sometimes busy to do so. If he comes along with Saburo, you would link arms with both of them, you being in the middle.
- When Ichiro can't read you a bedtime story, Jiro tells you stories of what he has done instead, or the stories he hears from his friends. They are always so interesting.
- Usually gives you side hugs more than actual hugs. Ruffles your hair a lot. Gives you forehead kisses, but is pretty rare.
- Your big brother that you respect. He may not be reliable when it comes to school work, but you trust him with everything else.
SABURO YAMADA
- Since you're only a year or two younger than him, your relationship with Saburo is kind of... 50/50? A best friend kind of relationship more than an older brother one.
- The brother you actually get into mild arguments with, but since it's you, he'll actually apologise first. He won't ever apologise to Jiro, but you're his only sister, so he'll suck it up and try to fix things with you.
- Therefore, if you were to make mistake, he WILL be mad at you.
- Makes fun of you more than Jiro does. Of course, he's just joking though. He's not as harsh to you as he is with Jiro. All three brothers love you too much.
- If you ever start crying because of him, he'll immediately backtrack. Will start comforting you, rocking you like a baby although this is something anyone would rarely see him do. If he doesn't do this (which is rare), you'll threaten him with the 'I'm telling onii-chan' phrase.
- Will eat the snacks with you that Jiro had bought.
"But Jiro nii-chan bought me those!"
"Yeah? Let's go tell him to buy some more then."
"Saburo nii-chan!!!"
- Won't spoil you, but will do whatever you ask of him if it's reasonable.
- You title him the smart, but kind-of-mean brother. Probably scolds you the most out of all your brothers.
"(Y/N), what did I tell you?! It's your turn to wash the dishes today!”
"I'm sorry, Saburo nii-chan! I forgot!"
- Will help you on your homework even if you don't ask him for it. He's very reliable, so if you did need help, you'll always ask him for it. Surprisingly, he's happy to help you, and you bond with him every time you study together.
- You admire how smart he is, and you're always complimenting him on his high grades (and his hacking skills). This makes him realise how much he wants to keep getting better for you, so you could look up to him more than Jiro. After all, Saburo's the smart one, and your role model should be smart too.
He giggles to himself as he is finally given his test papers back to him, knowing he has full marks yet again. "I've got to show this to Ichi-nii and (Y/N)! They'll be so proud."
- Saburo doesn't have that many friends, so he's always appreciative of you that you'll accompany him around town to do errands or something mundane like that.
"Saburo nii-chan, let's go to the arcade today!"
"Eh, alright. Is there something you want to win?"
"Yes, that plushie over there!"
"Alright, here goes...!"
He actually ends up getting the plushie you want to your surprise.
- Cares a lot about you. Is always happy to see you come out of school as he picks you up. Asks about your day, and is always listening to you on whatever you have to say.
- If you want a piece of his lunch, he’ll immediately say no though. He’ll just buy you your own lunch.
- Is probably the brother that doesn't hug you as much or show too much affection. However, if you're deeply upset about something, he'll hug you without hesitation. And if he's extremely worried about you, and hasn't seen you all day, he will run up to you for a tight hug, then flick your head hard.
- Yet he won't say no if you want a piggyback from him. So most of the affection comes from your side.
- When it's time to go to bed, he acts like the annoying brother. He opens the door to your room, stare at you for a bit before leaving the door open.
"Saburo nii-chan! Close the door!"
"Nah."
- He's just joking though, so he ends up coming back to close it. He'll say goodnight to you and you'll say it back.
- Even when the two of you are close in age, you still call him 'nii-chan'. He finds it cute, and he hopes you won't stop calling him your big brother.
- Your big brother that you admire and respect despite his annoyingness. You can trust him with a lot of things and you appreciate how he is always willing to help you out.
Ultimately, you love your three older brothers very much, and you can never live without them.

"Baby..." Ichiro looked down at his girlfriend who had wrapped her arms around his waist as he tried to leave the house. "I know you'll miss me but I have to leave for this delivery or they'll cut my pay...you know that," he sighed. You pouted, looking up at him with puppy-dog eyes, "Can I come along? I promise I won't get in your way." With a tired sigh, he smiled softly at you and shook his head. "I know you want to come along baby but you know I can't do that, the client would probably hate that." Your pout deepened as you whined, "But you promised to stay at home with me today..." Ichiro placed both hands on your shoulders and pushed you away gently, leaning in to give you a soft kiss on your forehead, "I'll be back real soon okay? In the meantime, you can hug Ichiteddy." He gestured at something on the couch.
You followed your boyfriend's line of sight, landing on the teddy bear that lay on the couch in the living room. Ichiteddy had been a birthday present from Ichiro. Being the clingy girlfriend that you were, he knew that he would never hear the end of it whenever he tried to leave the house and hence decided to get a quick "body double" to keep you company instead. After all, he was kind of tired of sneaking out of the house when you were asleep or busy. You've loved it ever since, sometimes even making it a point to give Ichiteddy all your kisses even though your boyfriend was right next to you. Making him jealous never really worked, however, because you loved your boyfriend too much to not jump into his arms and pepper him with kisses. Occasionally, you would spray Ichiro's cologne onto Ichiteddy, hugging it whenever you felt down or alone.
You sighed, pursing your lips. Dragging your feet over to the couch, you plopped down onto it unceremoniously as you picked up Ichiteddy. Holding it close to your heart, you made a sad wave at Ichiro who was now frowning at you. "I'm sorry my love...I know I made a promise to be with you and everything..." He walked over to where you were sitting, sitting down beside you and leaning in to give you a kiss on the forehead. That dragged out a delightful giggle from your lips and he grinned, happy to see such a smile on his beloved girlfriend's face. "Well...you better be back soon okay?" but a part of you simply couldn’t shake it off. you knew such dreams were simply irrational and perhaps a manifestation of your fears or unconscious thoughts, to some extent; but it all felt so real, uncomfortably real.
“here.” you’re still shaking ever so slightly when your boyfriend hands you a cup of what smelt like chamomile tea, perfect for relaxing and going back to sleep. it’s warm, enough to help your shivers and goosebumps that cover your skin. but it wasn’t quite enough; you’re still a bit frightened, or well, definitely lost in your thoughts about it. you know you shouldn’t believe everything your mind tells you, but it’s difficult not to.

you can’t help but wonder if he’s annoyed; it’s simply all priming from your dream, you know that, but the thought still enters your head. he could leave at anytime, he very well could—it was a choice he had. this whole life that the two of you built, he’s leave it behind, and you’d feel all broken.
“please just…stay with me.” your voice is low, and you try hard to conceal the way your voice wants to crack. you really just need some comfort right now, to be comforted by his love and reassured that your nightmare was nothing more than just that. you needed to know that you were crazy, that he’d never just suddenly fall out of love one day so out of the blue.
“of course.” ichiro obliges; you were a top priority of his, nothing less. and he huddles into you, knowing exactly what you needed at the moment—his warmth and touch. you needed to feel that he was there, to hear how his heart still skips a beat when you lay on his chest. ichiro knows your needs and wants, knows exactly how to comfort a shaken you.
and it feels nice, much different than that dream. he’s close and warm, not distant and cold. his touch is the same as you remember, rough but still, well, warm i suppose. it’s the comfort that suddenly comes over you, the fatigue that hits.
“i will never let you go,” he suddenly voices so out of the blue. y’know that, right? as if he was reading your mind word-for-word. and of course he knew exactly what to say at the moment; like i said, ichiro knew how to comfort you exactly, can read you like an open book. it makes you a little shy and embarrassed, worried that he knows how silly of a dream you had. but it’s exactly the words you needed to hear to fully comfort your mind and heart.
and with your hands intertwined at the moment, it surely felt as such.

when ichiro comes back from another odd job complete that day, he quickly comes to notice your sleeping form on the living room couch.
you had invited yourself in while he was gone, ichiro realizes, the spare key he had given you so loosely-held in your hand. he can’t help but wonder just how long you were here, all alone, at home, how long you had waited for him. and the thought of you sitting all alone, bored out of your mind and waiting for your boyfriend to return, does ache his heart just a little. but even then, ichiro can’t let go of that warm feeling that blossomed at the base of his gut.
there were definitely butterflies. and the way his face flushed with such intense heat at how cute you looked wasn’t all too preferable, having just come out of the beating summer sun. but man, he hadn’t really noticed just how keen he was to the idea of coming home to you. ichiro was a family man - he knew that himself - but simply the mere thought that you were waiting to greet him made him all too weak in his knees (or maybe that was the effects of the summer heat settling in). he’d never imagined such a domestic life, but he was utterly obsessed already.
this pretty much made his entire day, especially after that tiring odd job he’d just finished.
and it’s really the first he notices how adorable you look sleeping, the first he’s really gotten a good, detailed view of your features. your parted lips look so soft and kissable, and the way your hair is just sprawled everywhere surely does earn a small laugh from him. you’re so relaxed and at peace, so deep in sleep; ichiro hoped you were having only the best of dreams. and you're dressed in one of his hoodies, snuggled up to the sleeves, and damn do you look good in his clothing; it’s already practically yours now, after having seen just how well it fits. and he can’t help but take a few photos to commemorate, his mischievous side seeping in just a bit (and don’t be too surprised when it’s his home screen in a few days time).
had you missed him? the thought makes him soft, and ichiro can physically feel his heart melt, the way his own lips tug up into a smile. it’s a pleasant stinging sensation almost, torn on being down that you had missed him that much but yet purely ecstatic at the fact that you also missed him, his scent, his touch, even when it hadn’t been too long.
you two were so alike.
and you looked oh so comfy that it was tempting. simply observing you had reminded him of his own fatigue, the weight of the day finally taking a toll on him. working on a job in the beating ikebukuro heat certainly does take a toll on the body, and it’s also the first time ichiro notices just how drained he was. stepping in from the high ninety-degree weather into the contrasting cold home really had him hit. the contrast was stark, and so was his energy levels.
a nap would make do, especially all huddled up next to you under the comfort of the ac.
so he wastes no time in making room, gently moving you as to not wake up. you stir in your sleep ever so slightly, mumbling some incoherent words that ichiro finds all too cute, but ultimately stay asleep. he’s much too careful, not wanting even the slightest possibility that you’d wake and disturb your rest. he handles you with such care and fragility, as if you’d break from even the slightest heavy hand. and the softness in his gaze never leaves.
ichiro immediately feels a sense of relief wash over him as he snuggles you big spoon style, and his fatigue is eased almost instantly (the effect of your touch, really). he gets a whiff of your shampoo scent, his heart only growing three sizes or so when he realizes it’s his own. man, you really were cute.
you’re so warm, even compared to how hot he feels, but it’s still a pleasant touch. it was comforting in a way the outside sun hadn’t been, and it’s the type of overwhelming warmth that he doesn’t mind too much. and ichiro feels the way his nerves get undone, how the tension in his shoulders eases. it’s as if sleep came to him all too quickly, but he doesn’t mind; he was hella tired after all.
and he doesn’t miss how you instinctively snuggle into him the moment you feel his warmth. there was a large smile on his face, one he couldn’t see, but ichiro so clearly feels your movements, ones that mirror his in a way. it doesn’t stop his own grin from becoming larger, or from the blood so quickly rushing to his face, turning the tips of his nose and red an even brighter shade of red.
thankfully, the ac would cool him done; otherwise, he would’ve been a sweltering mess.
ichiro finds himself drifting off to sleep soon enough, face buried within the crook of your neck. he couldn’t be happier. surely there wasn’t anything better than being in your arms, the one he loved oh so much, and being surrounded by your scent and warmth, just you. it instantly made him feel better, any of the day’s troubles forgotten within seconds. it’s difficult to fight the closing of his eyes and the drowsiness weighing in; it’s difficult to fight off just how good you made him feel.
