I just made a discovery about the supposed location of Beacon Hills based on a map in 6A
What we get is a map circling the fake town of Canaan sitting next to the fake town of Beacon Hills, but it's surrounded by real towns
I brought out Google maps and marked four of the locations: Weed, Alturas, Weaverville, and Susanville. Then for the screenshot I zoomed out enough for some context, such as the visual distance from San Francisco (I manually added back in a mile/km marker as well)
In my screenshot I created upper and lower limits based on the quadrilateral configuration of the four real towns. I then circled the relative location of Beacon Hills based on the Canaan map from 6x06 using the shape of the "89" and "36" roads as my guide since that looks similar enough to the actual road intersecting that area
(DISCLAIMER: I am NOT saying this is the forever definitive intended location, nor does this discredit any other person who's tried to map out the possible locations of Beacon Hills, such those who've calculated it as being much closer to Chico. This is just a "wow, look at what I was able to extract from this prop" moment that wasn't entirely garbage)
