Good news:
- They found two things wrong that probably explain my symptoms!
Bad news:
- The only treatment is increasing my current meds or having a major surgery. As for the other problem, it's just an observation not a diagnosis.
- SHE DIDN'T PUT IT ON MY NOTES??? SHE TOLD ME THE ABNORMALITIES IN PERSON BUT MY NOTES SAY EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL???

I said increasing meds is a treatment but it doesn't actually treat it, it just (hopefully) reduces symptoms. The only treatment is to literally surgically remove part of the colon. Or a colostomy but I don't understand why that would be done instead. Idk.
I found there's probably a way to help the other thing though even without knowing the underlying cause 👀 I need to get my GP to prescribe me something stat. Edit: Nvm it doesn't apply to me T_T
Well I've decided I'll get over it and have no choice to accept that they didn't do the biopsies. I can't know for certain if it's causing everything but what she did find does explain my symptoms, even if it doesn't make sense that the symptoms come and go.
I wish I got an answer that was actionable and I think that contributes to me being so upset that other possibilities weren't ruled out. One finding is something that I can't treat and the other one I would have to spend a ton of money investigating in order to figure out.
Idk what this means for me if the symptoms come back like they did last time. Because as I said. I can't treat it.

On the phone a week ago, the nurse who ordered it told me they'd do biopsies.

This is so so so much fucking worse than what I thought the worse outcome would be: spending over $3k for them to look and find nothing.
No, instead I spent over $3k for them to not even look for what they were supposed to look for. I want to scream
I told them I'm not experiencing symptoms right now so they might not see anything. They said that even if everything looks fine to the naked eye, they will take biopsies anyway because that might still reveal a problem.
But they fucking didn't. I feel murderous right now. I spent how much fucking money and they didn't do the most important fucking thing that I actually showed up for, the only fucking thing that would rule out or confirm my practitioner's suspicion--the reason she ordered the colonoscopy in the first place.
I'm going to lose my fucking mind, I hope they all give fantastic explanations for this such as "You were told wrong; if everything looks normal then the biopsies will also be normal". If not then I hope they get hit by a fucking car and I want my thousands of dollars back.
This is just like last year when I found out the doctor who did my laparoscopy never actually took a biopsy--which she is absolutely 100% supposed to do--and therefore my endometriosis diagnosis does not actually exist.
What the fuck is up with doctors putting you through a procedure and half-assing it. Do you know the kind of toll that takes on a patient!!! And you don't even take it seriously???
