okay so this is random BUT I personally think 7-1-6 is a time and not a date..
This is the PICKIEST, STINGIEST thing to base it off of but…
notice how the message says “locking in at 7-1-6”
they chose to use “at” instead of “on” in the official message.
In the English language, one uses “at” to describe time:
“Stranger things 5 drops at 7:00 PM CST”
And “on” to describe a date:
“Stranger things 5 drops on November 26th”
coupled with El’s version of telling time in the earlier seasons by reading out the individual numbers on the watch dial, it seems that the stranger things crew may be alluding to the time of trailer release.
YES, this seems nitpicky and oddly specific of them, but let’s keep in mind how the suffer bros like doing this type of thing… sorry lol that seems like an excuse 😀
also 7-1-6 as in 7/16 AS IN 07/2016 like JULY 2016 when stranger things debuted
