7.23.13 Your name
I found your name under the trees.
Quiet, it did not speak volumes.
So curious your endeavors were
that they creeped up to me and made me curious.
Somehow, we laughed together and your hand found mine.
That night I went to sleep and your name changed inside of me.
A million neurons inspired the thousand veins and arteries to carry your name to the red silk box inside my chest.
With each day, my questions were answered.
With each word, the sounds of my voice became yours.
The more we shared, the more we melded.
The more I sought, the more I found.
You’re still a mystery to me,
But I know your name is inside of me.
It sits on my tongue every waking moment.
And I never thought six letters could sound so sweet and be so promising.
