We took the little guy on his first mini hike yesterday. Temps here are going into the 50s — 60s on Thursday!!! — and we’re taking advantage as much as possible. We tried out the fleece jacket, which was really convenient with its little insert for the baby, but by the end of the walk we were both overheated.
Living that EP life over here - I’ve decided to embrace it. It is what it is. My life right now is a constant rotation of trying to rush and pump quickly before I have to pop back up to wash a million bottles and try to shove some food into my mouth so I can grab the baby to feed him and keep him upright and do tummy time and then back down for a nap, pump, dishes, repeat. It’s tiring, but it’s what I need to be doing right now. Of course it sounds like I have no help which is far from the case. B and I are tackling it all together. Though I wish he could take a few turns pumping. I keep wondering what it will feel like after this phase is over - once Pep is more mobile and pumping goes away. Time will tell.
Starting to think about how to slowly get Pep into something of a sleep schedule as we approach the two-month mark next week. Where did these two months go? Realizing how quickly the time has gone makes me kinda terrified for how quickly the next four months will go. Please, someone tell me I never have to go back to work again and can be paid to stay home and do nothing work-related? 😁

See ya later I'm off to basic.
Seeing my baby for the first time and knowing I’ll do everything to keep it safe was the best feeling. I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. Although it was too soon to hear the heartbeat I know how fast it’s beating and that my little peanut is doing well. Being a mother is exciting the more I go through my pregnancy. My baby will have the best I can give it.
